What a wonderful time we had! Garey has the hook up at Carduh!! The tasting there and his friend Buzz were the highlight of our tours!! (And we found a new favorite scotch!) It was so nice to have a knowledgeable guide to show us the area. If you are ever thinking of going to Scotland, you must add a day with the Guvnor as part of your trip!

10/10 service! We used Garey to shuttle 5 boys from boarding school in Elgin to Glasgow airport and pick them up again 10 days later. He was proffesional, kept in constant contact before and after the boys trip. All the boys thought he was fantastic, kind and made their trip fun and enjoyable. His bus is superb. We will certainly be booking with Garey again and I would recommend him to anyone !

If you need a guide to take you around to the Speyside area, you got to get the Guvnor! Garey the owner is an incredible man with lots of good stories and loads of humor! He was a true entertanier, and the perfect host! His van was fully stocked with refreshments, food, snacks and even a wee little dram (or two) for the road. He really made the trip memorable for us guys! We came to Elgin with no plans except to taste some good whiskey and visit some distilleries. Garey put together a great tour for us on short notice and we had a blast! He even got us into places we were not supposed to get into without pre booking well in advance. He knows the area like his own back pocket, and has a good knowledge of what places to visit! No matter if its dining, drinking or sightings. Worth every penny (pounds/dollars/kroner/dineros etc etc) and he comes highly recommended by us! We are going back, and we are going to use him again without a doubt! From the first phone call to the last hand shake, we knew our group (5 golfers) were in safe hands with Garey and his driver John. Garey looked after us throughout the tour and even provided a few 'light' refreshments along the way to make our experience even better! I would highly recommend Garey (Guvnors tours). Im a whisky blogger from Turkey and it was my dream to go around Speyside with a local who knows the area well. Garey is the best!! He was with us for 3 days, took us to distilleries that we didnt have appointment for, made us discover small gems of the region like the Fiddich Inn, he even played us his pipe by the River Spey... The whole experience was like a 2 day long dream.. So happy to have made a friend like Garey.. Ill see you soon mate! Slainte mhath!

Fabulous, personalized tour with The Guvnor. He found the out-of-the-way places my ancestors lived, but more than that, he arranged for us to meet the people living there and hear their stories. This guy is one of a kind. He provides the best taxi and tour service known in Scotland. We have been on tour with Guvnor moore than once and we have been moore than satisfied every time. Traveling from Wick in the north to Edinurgh in the south, from the eastcoast to the westcoast, around Speyside and Highlands, he has given us whiskytours with class, taken us to hidden restaurants, shown us castle and ruins, monastery, picturesque villages, stunning nature all those thing that you should see when you visit Scotland, and above all this he is a great entertainer. Having known The Guvnor for over forty years, he is always my first choice to take our friends on tour when they visit us in Elgin. His knowledge of the Highlands is unbeatable and his Whisky tours are the best days out that you will ever have. I recommend him without hesitation if you want a great tour and a great laugh along the way. Oh, and don't forget his bagpipe playing! Book The Guvnor, you won't regret it!

Me and some friends had the pleasure of using Guvnors Taxis when we visited Elgin and Spey area in spring 2015. He always picked us up on time and at agreed price. On the way back to the airport we had a little stop at Linkwood Distillery, where he had a small bagpipe concert for us. We can recommend Guvnors Taxis strongly.
